Dylan Locke studied percussion under Matthew Darling at CSU Fresno. Along with pursuing his degree in Music Education, he participated in marching band and percussion ensemble and was a principal player in the Fresno State Wind Ensemble. Dylan was awarded a scholarship through Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia in recognition of his music studies and traveled with the Yosemite Wind Orchestra to Sydney, Australia, to play in the Sydney Opera House and Beijing, China, to play in the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. In 2022, he earned his master’s degree from CSU Long Beach in conducting, working with all three instrumental ensembles.
Dylan is in his 16th year as a music educator working with all grades (K-12) over the years and has had the pleasure of leading several award-winning marching groups both in the Central Valley and Southern California. In 2022, Dylan was nominated for the Orange County Music and Arts Administrator Awards. Dylan also enjoys extracurricular music pursuits, playing in various jazz and rock groups on drum set and bass.
Summer Elliott is a dedicated percussionist with a passion for the marching arts. He began his music career at Buena High School, where he excelled in the Marching Band, Indoor Drumline, and Wind Ensemble, serving as both section leader and principal player. His early leadership and talent set the stage for a successful and diverse musical journey.
Pursuing higher education at CSU Long Beach, Summer continued to develop his musical expertise by performing with the Concert Band while earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
Summer's independent marching experience is noteworthy, including performances with Broken City Percussion in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and the prestigious Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps in 2023. These experiences have honed his technical skills and deepened his understanding of high-caliber performance standards.
Currently, Summer is committed to nurturing the next generation of performers. He is the Percussion Director at Buena Park High School and the Front Ensemble Caption Head at Orange County Independent Percussion.
Dylan Fisher is a percussionist and educator. With several years of teaching experience under his belt, Dylan has developed a passion for helping students grow as musicians.
His impressive performance background includes Gold Drum and Bugle Corps 2019 and 2020, Meraki Percussion 2020, Élan Percussion 2022, Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps 2022, and Broken City Percussion 2023. Dylan's expertise and enthusiasm inspire his students as he fosters a love for percussion and performance. He also serves as the Battery Caption Head at Buena Park High School, Battery Co-Caption Head at Orange County Independent Percussion, and Battery Instructor at Gold Drum & Bugle Corps.
Mia Carrillo is a dedicated front ensemble instructor with a strong enthusiasm for the marching arts. Her musical path commenced at an early age, marked by her completion of the Certificate of Merit program in piano and her involvement in middle and high school band programs. In addition to her pursuits in the marching arts, Mia is advancing her education at CSU Los Angeles, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
Mia’s independent marching experience includes performances with Broken City Percussion in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps in 2024. These opportunities have refined her technical abilities and enhanced her knowledge of the audio aspect of the marching arts, all of which have influenced her instructional approach. Mia is also a Front Ensemble Instructor at Buena Park High School and Anaheim High School.
Battery Instructor
Ethan Alorro is a committed percussionist who marched with the Walnut High School Marching Band and Indoor Percussion Ensemble from 2021 to 2025, serving as Snare Section Leader in his senior year. Ethan combines his technical precision and dynamic musical expression in his teaching. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in film at CSUN. Ethan continues to expand his creative voice through composing, arranging, and collaborating within the marching arts.
Battery Instructor
Daniel Castaneda is a devoted young percussionist with the commitment, determination, and passion to learn and teach the art of music to the next generation. He is currently a part of the percussion studio at Riverside City College, majoring in Music Education, hoping to become a music teacher in the future.
His marching experience includes the Gold Drum and Bugle Corps. The education and teachings that Daniel has received have led him to become a snare instructor at Chino High School and percussion caption head at Magnolia Junior High School.
